How it works
From enquiry to licence in four steps
Check what you need
Every truck course needs the matching learners licence first. Tell us what you will be driving and we will tell you the class, the prerequisites and the cost.
Pick a date
Choose from the dates on this site, or ask us for a week that suits. For four or more staff we will schedule a course around your roster.
Theory and driving
Small classes with one-on-one instructor time, then your driving lessons. For Class 2 we supply the truck; for Class 4 and 5 we can train in yours.
Assessment and credits
Sit your assessment with us. As an NZQA-accredited Private Training Establishment we upload credits to the NZQA Framework within 90 days of course completion, on request.
For employers
We come to your yard and train on your trucks
We are more than happy to come onsite to your yard and use your vehicles for training. WINZ quotes, group bookings and invoicing on account.
Group bookings
Four or more and we will schedule a course around your roster. Group discounts apply when the agreed number of staff attend.
WINZ quotes
We prepare quotes for Work and Income funded trainees. Call the office on 07 855 1111 to arrange one.
Payment on account
Approved account customers pay on the 20th of the month following the course. Individuals pay before the course starts.
Credits to the NZQA Framework
Unit standards uploaded within 90 days of completion, based on awarded competency, when you ask us to load them.

Can I pay by StudyLink with a Student Loan?
No, CDTNZ courses are of short duration and do not qualify for student loan funding. We, however, do accept other forms of payment. Please refer to FAQ “How can I pay?”
